Bio

Grace M. Pankratz (nee Isherwood) age 94 of Jackson, formerly of the Madison area died Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at the Kathy Hospice. She was born July 29, 1919 in Stevens Point to the late Harry and Anna (nee Karner) Isherwood. Grace worked at La Follette High School in Madison for many years. In 1997 she retired and moved to Jackson. Grace is survived by her 4 children: David (Bonnie Jean) Zwicke, Donna (Don) Passineau, Susan (the late James) Ahles and Kristine (James) Batka, her daughter-in-law Kay Zwicke, 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her 3 brothers: John Isherwood, Jim (Dorothy) Isherwood and William (June) Isherwood and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Anna Isherwood, her husbands, Alfred Zwicke and James Pankratz, her son Richard, 7 siblings and her special friend Phil Sundal. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, November 15, 2013 at 12:00 noon at St. James Catholic Church in Menomonee Falls with Rev. Charlie Zabler presiding. Burial will be Saturday in Calvary Cemetery in Wisconsin Rapids. The visitation will be Friday, at the church only from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorials to the Kathy Hospice or St. James Catholic Church are appreciated.
