Bio
Florence was the second of twelve children born to Harry Joseph Isherwood and Anna Marie (Karner) Isherwood. She was never married. Stevens Point Daily Journal , 9 Jan 1997 Florence M. "Babe" Isherwood, 87, 1616 Fremont St., died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 1997, at the Portage County Health Care Center. Services will be at 10 am Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Alan Burkhardt will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 pm Friday at Boston Funeral Home and again from 9 am until the time of service Saturday at the church. Born Sept. 19, 1909, in Stevens Point, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Anna (Karner) Isherwood. She grew up and attended schools here. In her younger years, she helped take care of the family after her mother died. In the late 1940s and 1950s, she was a cook at the Campus Cafe. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic church and St. Anne Rosary Society. Survivors include two sisters, Grace Pankratz, Madison, and Mary Ann Isherwood, Stevens Point; four brothers, James, Greendale, Thomas, Waukesha, John, Le Grange Park, Ill., and William, Wauwatosa. She was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
