Katie Emma Marie Kramer was baptized August 6, 1899, by Pastor Gustav Szillat at St. James Lutheran Church in New Wehdem, Austin County, Texas, and she was confirmed on Palm Sunday, 1913, by Pastor C. Wolff at St. Paul's Evangelical & Reformed Church (now St. Paul's United Church of Christ) in Gerald, McLennan County, Texas. Katie Kramer married Willie Otto on Oct. 18, 1917, in Gerald Community, McLennan Co., Tx. They were the parents of three daughters. Katie Kramer Otto was the daughter of Otto Heinrich Karl Kramer and Wilhelmine (Minnie) Muegge Kramer. OBITUARY FROM THE WACO TIMES HERALD: July 10, 1972 OTTO, MRS. KATIE M. Mrs. Katie M. Otto, 73 of 211 North Bermuda, died at 10:05 p.m. Sunday in a West hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Gerald, Rev. Otto Marshall officiating, burial in Gerald Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Willie Otto; her mother, Mrs. Minnie Kramer of San Diego, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Paul O. Wendt of 324 Ave. I, Lacy Lakeview, Mrs. Alvin Jupe of San Antonio. (A daughter, Mrs. Ben Schroeder, died in November of 1969); three brothers, Garrett and Ervin Kramer both of San Diego, Calif., Reinard Kramer of Waco; five sisters, Mrs. Theckla Weissinger of Old Tapan, N.J., Mrs. Selma Seith of Waco, Mrs. Minnie Beseda of Lamesa, Mrs. Lydia Filer of San Diego, Mrs. Wanda Knoefler of Riverside, Calif.; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
