Thekla Wilhelmine Kramer was baptized July 25, 1897, by Pastor Gustav Szillat at St. James Lutheran Church in New Wehdem, Austin County, Texas, and she was confirmed April 2, 1911, by Pastor C. Wolff at St. Paul's Evangelical & Reformed Church (now St. Paul's United Church of Christ) in Gerald, McLennan County, Texas. Thekla Kramer married Carl Gottfried "Charlie" Weissinger on August 23, 1913. OBITUARY FROM THE RECORD, Hackensack, New Jersey, Thursday, Feb. 26, 1976 Thecla Weissinger OLD TAPPAN -- Thecla Weissinger, 78, died yesterday in her home. Mrs. Weissinger was born in Brenham, Texas, and lived in Teaneck before moving to Old Tappan 18 years ago. She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Old Tappan. Surviving are her husband, Charles G.; a son, B. Charles G. of Oradell; two daughters, Anita Hascup of Old Tappan and Vera M. Crowell of Montvale; three brothers, Garrett and Erwin Kramer, both of San Diego, Calif., and Reinhard Kramer of Waco, Texas; four sisters, Selma Seith of Waco; Minnie Beseda and Lydia Filer, both of San Diego, and Wyanda Knoefler of Arlington, Calif.; seven grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Services will be tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. in the Halsey Funeral Home, 199 Center Ave., Westwood, N.J. on Friday at 10:30 A.M. Interment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. The family will receive their friends Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M.
