Bio
Mrs. Mary Philomena Craig, 88, passed away Friday afternoon at her home near Missouri Valley. She was born April 16, 1856 in Dubuque county, Iowa, and had been a resident of this vicinity for the past 60 years. Survivors include: four daughters, Mrs. Fred Gilbert, Omaha; Mrs. E.L. Rourke, Boise, Idaho; Mrs. Albert McIntosh, Honey Creek; and Mrs. Ed Walsh, Boise, Idaho; two sons, J.F. Craig, Missouri Valley, and Ed Craig, Council Bluffs. The body was taken from Hennessey & Van Cleave funeral home Monday afternoon to the residence of her son, Frank, southeast of the city. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at St. Patrick's church in Missouri Valley at 9:30. Rev. P.R. O'Donnell will officiate and burial will be in Mount Carmel cemetery. Pallbearers are to be John, Charles and James O'Rourke and James Walsh, Bert Tamisiea and Clement Clark. (Missouri Valley Times, Missouri Valley, Harrison Co., Iowa, 13Nov1944)
