Mrs. Charles (Catherine Bridget) O'Rourke, 74, died at the home of her daughter Mrs. Thomas Walsh on North Seventh street, Tuesday afternoon. She had been ill for several years. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 o'clock Friday morning at St. Patricks church, Rev. P.R. O'Donnell will officiate and burial will be in Mount Carmel cemetery. The members of the Women's Catholic Order of Forestors will meet at the Thomas Walsh home this evening at 8 o'clock. The Altar Society will meet there tomorrow evening at 8 o'clock to recite the rosary. Mrs. Walsh(O'Rourke) was born in Harrison county and lived in this community her entire life. Mr. Walsh (O'Rourke) died in 1927. She is survived by seven children, Mrs. Bert Tamisiea (Mary), Mrs. John Walsh (Catherine), Mrs. James Walsh (Nell), Mrs. Tom Walsh (Edna), James and Charles all of Missouri Valley and John of Modale. Three sisters also survive. They are Mrs. James Clark of Omaha, Miss Louise Martin and Mrs. Mary Craig both of Missouri Valley. The body will be taken from the Hennessey and Van Cleave Funeral parlors to the Thomas Walsh home late this afternoon. (Missouri Valley Times, Missouri Valley, Harrison Co., Iowa, 11Oct1933)
