E. C. CRAIG, 69 DIED IN WASHINGTON - Edward C. Craig, 69, a longtime former resident of Missouri Valley, passed away Friday, July 26, in Bremerton, Washington. Mr. Craig in recent years has resided in California. He died suddenly in a hotel while he was visiting in Bremerton. He had visited in Missouri Valley in May of this year. He was born Sept. 15, 1898, in Missouri Valley, the son of Mary Martin and John Craig. He was married to Cynthia Fox in Missouri Valley January 8, 1916. She preceded him in death in 1954, The remains are being flown to Missouri Valley. The Rosary will be recited at the Hennessey-VanCleave and Hurley funeral home at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at St. Patrick's church here Wednesday, July 31, at 10:30 a.m. Father James J. Wadsworth will officiate. Interment will be in Mount Carmel cemetery. Survivors include: 4 daughters, Mrs. Glenn Olsen of Neola, Mrs. Don Williams of Omaha, Mrs. Jack Fricke of West Covina, Calif., and Mrs. Cecil Overman of West Covina, Calif.; one son, Donald Craig of Puente, Calif.; one brother, Frank Craig of Missouri Valley; two sisters, Mrs. Stella Rourke and Mrs. Mayme Walsh of Boise, Idaho, and 12 grandchildren.
