Bio
Sanger-Dorothy Lee George, 73, of Sanger, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2000, at her residence. She was born in Denton, on February 17, 1927, to Frank and Odessa (Smith) Farmer. She was a graduate of Denton High School and a member of Gribble Springs Baptist Church. She married Kenneth Terrill George in Marietta, Oklahoma, on September 5, 1943. She retired as a legal secretary after 35 years and was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; daughter, Mary Lee Parkhill of Sanger; sisters, Pat Calvert of Lewisville and Joann Luginbyhl of Krum; brother, Bobby Farmer of Bartonville; grandchildren, Ted Wesley Parkhill of Denton and Julie Anne Row of Valley View; and six great grandchildren. Services will be at 2 pm, Tuesday, May 23, at Gribble Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Ru'waldt and the Rev. Johnny George officiating. Burial will follow in the Gribble Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 pm tonight, Monday, May 22, at Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home in Denton. Pallbearers will be Mike Calvert, Butch Farmer, Bill Farmer, Teddy Meador, Ricky George and Sammy Enlow. Denton Record Chronicle, Monday, May 22, 2000
