The Banner-Press (David City, Nebraska) 05 Feb 1925, Thu Page 4 Albert Cherny Passes Away Linwood , Feb. 2 - Albert Cherny passed away at his home three miles east of Linwood on Thursday, Jan. 29, at the age of 61 years, 6 months and 25 days. Mr. Cherny was born June 8, 1863, Cernikof, Bohemia. He came to America in 1872 and with his parents settled on a farm three miles east of Linwood, where he died. He was a prosperous farmer. His health had been failing for three years and he had been bedfast since June, 1924. He was married to Miss Marie Belik in 1895. To them were born six children, three daughters and three sons, five of whom are living. They are Mrs. Anna Cherny Leach of Creston, Mrs. Emily Cherny Walla of Linwood, Mrs. Alyce Cherny Cusick of Fremont and Emil Cherny and Albert Cherny, Jr., living at home. Albin Cherny died at the age of six months. Funeral services for Mr. Cherny were held at the home on Saturday afternoon, Jan 31, at 2 o'clock. They were conducted by Rev. Fillipi, of Clarkson. Interment was in the Killian cemetery near Morse Bluff. Mr. Cherny is survived also by three brothers and one sister. He was member of the ZCBJ lodge, a Bohemian fraternal organization.
