Mrs. MARY MARTHA CORDELIA (HAMILTON OREBAUGH) SMITH was the daughter of Joseph Kennion Hamilton and Mrs. Mary Elizabeth (Henson) Hamilton. First husband - Russell Lee Orebaugh {married 1937} Second husband - Horace Hergeon Smith {married 1941} Obituary "Graveside services for Mary Martha Smith, 64, of Hynson Springs Road, Marshall, will be held at 4:30 p.m. Friday in Piney Cemetery, in Harleton. Arrangements by Sullivan Family of Funeral Directors. Mrs. Smith died, after a long illness, at 8:01 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, 1985 in Schumpert Medical Center, in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was born April 11, 1921, in Arkansas, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Elizabeth Henson Hamilton. She married Horace H. Smith in November of 1941, in Marshall, and she was a homemaker and a member of Nesbitt Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband on August 25, 1970; and a daughter, Shirley Orebaugh. Survivors include four sons, Joseph Horace Smith, of Jefferson, Charlie Smith, of Waskom, Jackie Smith, of Elysian Fields and Frankie Starr Smith, of U.S. Army, Germany; six daughters, Mrs. Chester Ray (Mary Elizabeth) Flanagan, Mrs. J.B. (Evelyn) Alexander, Mrs. Glen (Martha Ann) Russell and Mrs. Roger A. (Tammy Jean) Perkins, all of Marshall, and Mrs. James (Nona Fay) Eakin and Mrs. William A. (Brenda Gail) Brown, both of Big Sandy; 31 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, Jesse Hamilton and Claude Hamilton, both of Zavalla, and George Kennion "Boots" Hamilton, of Marshall; and four sisters, Gerthie Gardner, of Zavalla, Modene Hearnsberger, of Marshall, Fannie Dickerson, of Harleton, and Birtie Jean Erskine, of Fort Worth."
