Bio
Etta Crist Sherbeck, daughter of Levi and Eunice Highley Crist, was born Oct. 28, 1887 in the Clear Creek vicinity and died Feb. 7 at Bridgeport. Her husband was the late Hershel Sherbeck whom she married Jan. 20, 1909. To this union were born five daughters and two sons. Mrs. Sherbeck was a member of the Liberty Christian Church. Memorial services were conducted from the Calvary Baptist Church in Arcadia with the Govier Brothers Mortuary, Broken Bow, in charge of arrangements. The Rev. J. B. Tweter was the officiant. Music was provided by Mrs. Tweter with Mrs. Frank Sybrant, soloist. M. Dale Sell, Rolen Sell, Dillard Hunt, Byron Hunt, Edgar Slingsby and Arthur Pierson were pallbearers. Interment was in the Lee Park Cemetery near Arcadia. Survivors are sons, Sherman of Portland, Ore; Richard of Buxton, Ore.; daughters Marguerite Brong of Ankeny, IA, and Bernice Armstrong of Arcadia. Also 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; two brothers Elver Crist of Burlington, Colo., and Milton Crist of Missouria., Mont., and one sister Elsie Crist of Broken Bow. She is preceded in death by three daughters, one grandson, one brother and one sister.
