Mrs. Edith Ritchey of Fairmont, daughter of George and Caroline Klein, was born March 18, 1890, in Custer county. She passed away July 7, 1972, at Heritage of Geneva at the age of 82 years, 3 months and 19 days. She was married to Frank Ritchey June 7th, 1910. Most of their married life was spent in Fillmore county. She was a member of the Evangelical church of Stoptable, Neb. She is survived by three sons, Arthur of Geneva, Earl of Santa Cruz, California and Merlin of Fairmont; four daughters, Mrs. Helen Hurst of Fairmont, Mrs. Bernice Geis of Benedict, Mrs. Mildred Blunk of Fairfield, California and Mrs. Merna Price of York; three brothers, Lawrence of Hebron, George of Lexington and Fred of Hamburg, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Powell of Vancouver, Canada and Mrs. Anna Kasper of Lancaster, Wisconsin; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; plus numerous nieces, nephews and a large umber of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two daughters, Lucille and Vivian, infant son, one sister and one brother. Funeral services were held at the United Church of Christ in Fairmont at 2 p.m. Monday, July 10. Rev. Harrold James officiating. Pam and Marcia Chapman sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "How Great Thou Art." The organist was Mrs. Jerry Galusha. Pallbearers were Gilbert Albro, Jack Snodgrass, Alfred Jorgensen, Jim Snodgrass, Francis McMahon Sr. and Russell Snodgrass. Interment was in the Fairmont cemetery. She lived in Madison Township, Fillmore, Nebraska, United States in 1920 and Fairmont Township, Fillmore, Nebraska, United States in 1940. She died on 7 July 1972, in Fairmont, Fillmore, Nebraska, United States, at the age of 82, and was buried in Fairmont Cemetery, Fairmont, Fillmore, Nebraska, United States.
