Bio
Barbara Petska, was born Dec 4, 1848 in Bohemia. She died at her home in Ord March 17, 1921 at the age of 72 years 3 months and 3 days. Barbara and John were married in 1860 in Bohemia. She has resided with her husband on a farm 12 miles west of Ord until about five months ago when they moved to Ord. She has been ailing for the past three years and bedfast for the last year, Barbara leaves to mourn her loss, husband, John Petska, five daughters; Mrs Anna Papousek of Moorland Ia., Mrs Mary Blaha of St Paul Ne., Mrs Veronica Beran, Mrs Frances Andersen and Mrs Barbara Kokes all of Ord, and two sons Frank and Joseph of Ord. Another daughter Mrs Rose Kokes died several years ago. The funeral was held from the Catholic Church. Interment being at the Ord Catholic cemetery.
