Translation from Novy Domov: Announcement of death and thanksgiving By deep sorrow and grief, we announce to our friends and acquaintances that he who loved the Lord, called our own dear husband, father and grandfather, our Lorence Jaresh. The deceased was born on July 10, 1848, in Mahous, Bohemia, and died on 7 June 1926. He was blessed with the age of 77 years, 10 months and 27 days. He was buried with an abundant participation of friends and acquaintances there, after the solemn Mass of the Saints, at the Catholic Cemetery at Sweet Home. We give our heartfelt thanks to the priests, namely C.J. Benes, Fr. D.A. Sykora, Fr. F.J. Pokludo and Fr. J. Kieffer for the prayers in the house of sadness, pleasing words and rites in the Lord’s Temple and in the cemetery. Thank you very much to the singers, the musicians and the members of K.J.Z.T., and to the members of the St. Joseph Society 19 in Yoakum, of whom the deceased was a member, and who escorted him to the last resting place, then to all the donors of abundant flowers, as well as to all the numerous friends and acquaintances who, in the mournful moment, stood by us, and were our way of alleviating our sadness, we call all cordial ones to put on the Lord God. Baca, sisters. `````````````````````````````````````````````````````` Lawrence Jaresh Dies Lawrence Jaresh of the Sweet Home section, aged 78 years, passed quietly away Monday morning at 3 o’clock, after an illness of about three weeks. Deceased was born in Europe coming here when 4 years old, he resided in the Praha section until about 40 years ago when he moved to Sweet Home. He was a good man, a hard worker, who was loved and respected by all that knew him. He was married nearly 55 years ago, some five years ago he and his wife celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. The remains were laid to rest Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock in the Sweet Home cemetery, Father Benes of St. Ann’s, Father Keifer of Yoakum and Father Sekora of St. Mary’s officiated. Deceased is survived by his widow, one daughter, Mrs. Chas. Kahanek of St. John, three sons, Anton and John of Yoakum and Tom of Sweet Home. He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Anton Schroeder of the Freyburg section and Mrs. Baca of Flatonia, by two brothers, Frank of Hallettsville and Mat of San Antonio.
