Funeral services were held at St. Mary’s Church, Friday morning and burial was made in St. Mary’s Cemetery by the side of his wife who preceded him in death 32 years ago. Deceased was born in Czechoslovakia and came to America in 1855. He first lived in Colorado County. For the past 56 years he lived on the present home place, where kind hands ministered to him until the thread of life was broken. He lived a life of devotion to his church and his home. Survivors are, on son, and 3 daughters: F.W. Jares of Hallettsville, Misses Johanna and Pauline at home and Mrs. Mary Dolezal of Shiner. Also, 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
