Bio

John J. Machac, 65, of Leroy died in Providence Hospital at 12:35 a.m. Wednesday of injuries received last Saturday night, when he was struck by a car. Mr. Machac, a retired farmer was in front of his home in Leroy when hit by a 1955 Chevrolet. The accident occurred shortly after 9:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, Oct 21, at St. Martin's Church in Tours. Rev. Edward Geiser will officiate. Burial will be in St. Martin's Cemetery. Rosary was recited Thursday at 8:00 p.m. at Aderhold-Moore Chapel. Mr. Machac is survived by his wife, Mrs. Frances Machac; mother, Mrs. Katherine Machac of Penelope; four sons, Henry Machac of Waco, Rudolph Machac of Axtell, and Raymond and Johnny Machac of West; four daughters, Mrs. Lillian Filer of Ross, Mrs. Hattie Creech, Mrs. Helen Mogie and Mrs. Albina Marshall, all of Ohio; two brothers, George Machac of Hubbard, and Charlie Machac of Abbott; six sisters, Viasta Thyler of Wagner, South Dakota, Mrs. Francis Kocian of Dallas, Mrs. Olga Mraz and Miss Annie Machac of Penelope, Mrs. Jessie Flatery of Massy and Mrs. Lydia Svickel of Hillstoro.
