Married Jul 18 1880, Emerson, Mills Co, IA ----------------------------------------------- MRS. ELIZA DUNCAN LAID TO REST Eliza Frances Duncan was born near Lincoln, Illinois, October 25, 1864 [sic] and passed away at her home in Litchfield, Nebr., July 25, 1931, at the age of 66 years and 9 months. She was married to U.B. Craven at Emerson, Iowa where they lived for a short time before coming to Nebraska, where they made their home in the neighborhood of Litchfield where she has resided since except a few years at Burwell. She leaves to mourn her loss seven children, her husband and three children having preceded her in death. She was a member of the Royal Neighbor lodge and of the Christian church from which funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 28th, the Rev. Lessley, pastor of that church, officiating. Her children left to mourn her departure are as follows: James and William Craven of Litchfield, Mrs. Rose May of Custer, South Dakota, Mrs. Lois [sic] Blodgett of Omaha, Nebr., Mrs. Lucy McAlpine of Schuyler, Nebraska, Mrs. Blanche Weldin of Long Beach, Calif. and Mrs. Susie Sheehan of Litchfield. She also leaves 27 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
