Services for Betty R. Casteel Boyd, 74, of Shallowater will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Peaceful Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Michael Gilchrest officiating. Family visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Rix Funeral Directors. She was called home Saturday, October 18, 2008. She was born November 16, 1933 in Memphis, Texas to Theodore and Sybil Gilchrest. Photos Betty married C.J. Casteel in 1949. He passed away in 1966. She married M. Dwane Casteel in 1968, and he passed away in 1978. She married Hiley T. Boyd in 1978, and he passed away in 1995. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, and one sister. She is survived by three sons and two daughters, Danny and Penny Casteel, Randy and Pam Casteel, all of Houston; Lorrie and Dennis Jennische of Las Vegas, Nev.; Mark and Debbi Casteel, Sharon and Marty Temple, all of Shallowater; and two stepdaughters, Marguerite and Paul Brauchle of Normal, Ill. and Beth Ward of Albuquerque, N.M.; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. The family suggests memorials be made to Vista Care Hospice, 1717 Norfolk, #A 4th Floor, Lubbock, Tx 79416.
