C.W. Gilchrest MEMPHIS (Special) - Services for C.W. "Duck" Gilchrest, 50, of Memphis will be at 2 p.m. today at Travis Baptist Church here with the Rev. V.L. Huggins, pastor, and the Rev. J.R. Wooten of El Paso officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery here under the direction of Spicer Funeral Home of Memphis. Gilchrest died at his home at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday of an apparent heart attack. He was born in Rogers and lived in Memphis for 46 years. He was employed by the Hall County REA Electric Co. for almost 30 years. He married Ima Lee Jones in 1949 in Roaring Springs, and he was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church in Memphis. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Clifford Odell Gilchrest of Lubbock and Tony Calvin Gilchrest of Memphis; a daughter, Mrs. Richard Holland of Lubbock; four brothers, Howard of El Paso, and Kenneth, Ernest and Carroll of Pasadena; two sisters, Mrs. Alvis Freeman and Mrs. Dwayne Casteel, both of Lubbock; and two grandchildren.
