Bio

Martha was born to Henry Edward and Sina (Thompson) Nelson in Arcadia. She was raised in the Arcadia area and attended Dunham School Dist. #20 and also the Arcadia Public High School. She married Kenneth Hawley on November 24, 1926. Their children were, Pauline, Evelyn, June, Glen, Eugene, Jerry and James. Martha worked in the Arcadia Public School kitchen for 20 years. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
