Bio

Born in the state of Wisconsin to Eric Nels Nelson and Martha Haugesand (Lee) Nelson on December 4, 1863. He passed away in Grand Island, Nebraska. In his early life he united with the Lutheran Church. The Nelson family moved from Wisconsin, to Willmar, MN(where they were among the first settlers), to Fullerton, Nebraska. Once in Nebraska, where he has lived ever since. On March 5, 1887, he was united in marriage to Sena Thompson at Fullerton. NE. They had six children, Edward, Julia, Anna, Lizzie, Anton, and Martha. In 1900, the family moved from Fullerton to Arcadia where they farmed and lived in a sod house that they had built northwest of Arcadia and he remained there.
