Sena Christina Thompson was born in Wisconsin to Knudt T Thompson and Anna Arnesdater Nordfjeld. Both of her parents were from Norway. The Thompson Family moved to Nebraska around 1880 and made their home in Western, Knox County, Nebraska. Sena married Henry Edward Nelson in Fullerton, Nebraska on March 5, 1887. They moved to Arcadia where they lived northwest of Arcadia on a farm where they had constructed a sod house. She united with the Lutheran church in 1901 and remained true to her profession to the end. They had six children, Edward, Julia, Annie, Lizzie, Anton and Martha. Obituary from Ord Quiz 4-21-1927 Ord Quiz Mrs Henry Nelson Mrs Henry Nlson passes away very suddenly Tusday night April 13, 1927 at her home north of Arcadia from hert failure. Se had not been feeling well the past few weeks but was not bed fast and was in town the Saturday before herr demise. Sena Thompson was born on Decembr 23, 1867 in Wisconsin. She was united in marriage March 5 1887 at Fullerton, Nebr., to Henry Nelson. Six children wer born to this union. Edward, Anton, and Mrs Kenneth Hawley of Arcadia, Mrs Glen Hill of Coomstock, Mrs. Harley Hughes of Milburn and Mrs Pete Hall, deceased two years. Mrs Nelson moved to the Arcadia community with her family about twenty-three years ago and aquired many friends amount her newly found acquaintences. She united with the Lutheran church in 1901 and remained true to her profession to the end. Beside her husband and five children, the decased leaves seventeen grandchildren, five brothers, three sisters and other relatives to mourn her departure. Funeral services were conducted from the Congregational church Saturday forenoon in charge of Rev. W.A. Alcorn, assisted by Rev. W.H. Hendrickson wit interment in the Arcadia cmetery. The sympathy of their frinds and neighbors is extended to the bereaved family.
