ARD Mr. William J. ‘Jack' Ard—Age 69, of Richton, MS, died Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at his residence. He was a truck driver and a member of the Stapleton United Methodist Church in Stapleton, AL. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ella Fair Ard; his father, Hurley Ard; his sister, Betty Joe Swartzweider and a brother, Jerry "Cooter" Ard. Mr. Ard is survived by his wife, Geraldine Ard, Richton, MS; son, Gordon Timothy Ard, Robertsdale, AL; daughter, Donna Faye Head, Stapleton, AL; brother, Clarence Ard, Daphne, AL; two half-brothers, Robert Ard and Allen Ard of Robertsdale, AL; one half-sister, Gaye Nell Palmazano; Robertsdale, AL, two step-sisters, Gloria Swoboda and Jane Davis of Robertsdale, AL; and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 7, 2006 at Piave Baptist Church in Richton with Bro. John Franklin officiating. Visitation will be Friday, 9-11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Henderson Cemetery in Greene County, MS. Jones & Son Funeral Home in Richton in charge of arrangements.
