Bio

Olympe LeBlanc Schutte of 1013 Sidney Ave., a Sterling resident since 1914, died Sunday, April 19,1987, at Rocky Mountain Hospital in Denver. She was 91. Recitation of the Rosary will be 8:30 o'clock this evening (Tuesday) at Tennant-Hettiflger Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday from St. Anthony's Catholic Church, the Rev. Robert Reycraft the celebrant. Burial will follow in Riverside cemetery. She was born Sept. 24, 1895 in Campbell, Neb., the daughter of Pierre and Matilda Mercier LeBlanc, attended school in Camp bell where she married Joe Schutte, Nov. 8, 1912. The couple then moved to Sterling. Mr. Schutte died Jan. 7, 1979. Mrs. Schutte was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, St. Theresa Circle, War Daughters,Railroad Auxiliary and Senior Citizen's Club. She is survived by seven sons, Ar thur Schutte of Greybull, Wyo., Albert Schutte of Sheridan, Wyo., Raymond Schutte of Cottonwood, Ariz., Bernard Schutte of Veradale, Wash., George Schutte of Monroe, Wis., Bill Schutte of Windsor, Wis., and Joe Schutte Jr., of Denver; five daughters, Dolares Albro of Anniston, Ala., Yvonne Fringer and Margaret Stewart, both of Denver, Genevieve Dale of Grand Lake, and Vivian Raises of Tempe, Ariz.; a brother, Daniel Leblanc of Yuma, Ariz.; 75 grandchildren; 125 great- grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren. Tennant-Hettinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
