Yvonne Schroer, Yvonne Clarice Schroer, 90, of Denver, CO, passed away peacefully April 6, 2013. She was born September 19, 1922, the sixth of 14 children born to Joseph & Olympe Schutte. Preceded in death by her husband and love of her life Verne Schroer, she is survived by her sons, Otto (Barbara) Woods, Dennis Woods, and Kenneth (Pam) Woods, and 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and three sisters, two brothers and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Yvonne loved to bake, grow flowers, crochet, write letters and send cards to her many relatives and friends. She adored spending time with children. She retired from the Denver Public Schools after 25 years of service, but she didn't slow down. Card club, garden club, and sewing club kept her busy. She will always be remembered for her flowers, afghans, letters and cards, chocolate chip cookies, and her love for every child she met. Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, April 20, at Horan & McConaty, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd, with a reception following.
