father: Joseph Pavlicik mother: Anna Provaznik Mrs. Sebetka, 92, buried July 19 in Clutier cemetery Mrs. Josephine Sebetka, 92, formerly of Belle Plaine, died Wednesday, July 16, in Peoples Care Center in Independence, where she was a resident, 4 1/2 years. She was born Aug. 19, 1882, in Czechoslovakia. She came to the United States with her parents and was married to Joseph Sebetka on Oct. 10, 1903, in Cedar Rapids. The couple farmed near Cedar Rapids and in Tama and Grundy counties, before moving to Belle Plaine. Surviving are five sons, Milo and George of Marion, Joseph of Jesup, Wesley of Tama, and Edward of Willis, Texas, one daughter, Mrs. Marie Burnett of Fort Worth, Texas and 30 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Stanley, three grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Mrs. Sebetka was a member of St. Michael's Catholic church in Belle Plaine, and the Catholic Workman Lodge of Clutier. A prayer service was held at 7:30 o'clock Friday evening, led by Rev. A. A. McAvoy, at the Hrabak Funeral Home in Belle Plaine. Mrs. Rose Pudil and Mrs. Jane Saylor, granddaughters, were in charge of Mass cards. The funeral Mass was celebrated at 9:30 o'clock Saturday, July 19, with Rev. A. A. McAvoy the celebrant. Vickie Bevins was organist. Pallbearers were grandsons, Stanley, Robert, Vernon, Edward, Steve, and Wesley Sebetka Jr. Burial was in St. Vaclav cemetery, near Clutier.
