Bio
At the age of 20, Frances came to the United States with her parents, three brothers, and five sisters. The Pavlicek family settled in the Dupanda community in Otter Creek Township. They farmed on the Dupanda Road and north of Toledo. They then bought a farm on the edge of Gladstone and lived there for 15 years. Joe had lived in Tama County for about fifty years. The Zmoleks had no children but gave a home for about five years to their twelve year old niece, Anna Pavlicek, daughter of John Pavlicek of Richey, Montana, Mrs Zmolek's youngest brother. After the death of Mr. Zmolek, Frances purchased a home in Clutier where she lived until November, 1951. She then went to Traer to live. She was a devout Catholic and member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Clutier.
