SERVICES FOR GEORGE NELSON HELD JUNE 6 George Elmer Nelson, 91, born January 27, 1882 in Hooper passed away June 4, 1973, in a Fremont Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Nelson and former wife Julia Booth, who passed away in 1922. He later married Grace Carter, who survives. Other survivors are sons, Fay of Fasville, Ark., and Darrell of Gold Hill Oregon; a daughter, Mrs. Lester (Verdie) Nelson of Lincoln City, Ore., sister, Mrs. Bertha Brown of Fremont, brother W.R. Nelson on Pleasant Hill, Calif., 13 grandchildren, 21 great, grandchildren, 3 great, great, grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 6, at 2:00 p.m. at Warne Funeral Home. The service was officiated by Rev. Gary Schlosser. Clarence Heibenthal, soloist, provided music accompanied by his wife on the piano, Pallbearers were Millard De Peel, Edward Nelson, Richard Nelson, Charles May, Ervin May and Wayne Sampson. Interment was in Hooper Cemetery.
