Bio
Samuel Motsenbocker was a son of Jacob and Malinda Cockerham. They were married in 1854 in Indiana. Samuel was born in Coffey County, Kansas. His parents were listed in St. Clair County, Missouri in 1860. They were listed on the 1865 Kansas State Census in Coffey County. Malinda was listed with her family in 1870, but was not listed with them on the 1875 Pleasant Township, Coffey County, Kansas State Census. Her grave has not been located. Jacob was listed with 9 sons & daughters, ages 24 - 3, in 1875. All but the oldest son were children of Malinda. Jacob Motsenbocker was listed in Wise County, Texas, with his family and wife Emma in 1880.
