OBITUARY REEFORD N. Arnold died Sat, Feb 12, 2000 in a local hospital. He was 74. Mr. Arnold was a native of Rhea County and had lived in Red Bank for the past 42 years. He was a graduate of Rhea Central High School. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with U S Navy Aviation, and was a retired engineer with TVA. Mr. Arnold was a member of the Red Bank Baptist Church, the FOM Sunday School Class and served as a deacon. Survivors include his wife, Rowena (Marler) Arnold; two daughters, Phyllis Hunter, McLean, VA and Libby Walker, Signal Mtn; one son, Randy Arnold, Chattanooga; two sisters, Reba Fitzgerald, Dayton, TN and Mabel Walker, Columbus, Ohio; and five grandchildren. The funeral will be Tues at 11 a.m. at Red Bank Baptist Church with the Dr. Fed Steelman and the Rev Bert Jones officiating. A graveside service will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Shaver Cemetery, Dayton, TN with the Rev. Clyde Fitzgerald officiating. Visitation will be today from 4 to 6 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Lane Funeral Home, Coulter Chapel. The body will be at the church one hour before the service.
