MRS. ANNA FENDRICH Mrs. Anna Fendrich, 88, passed away at her home at 449 East 10th street Monday afternoon at 2:30, death being due to ailments attendant to advanced years. Mrs. Fendrich suffered the fracture of her hip 16 years ago and since that time had been practically an invalid. She was bedfast the three years preceding her demise. Her daughter, Mrs. Rose Moravek, cared for her during the 16 years she was almost helpless. Her health began to fail 10 years ago. Anna Voboril, daughter of Joseph and Anna Voboril, was born in Jankov, Kraj Caslav, Bohemia, July 26, 1849. The fore part of her life was spent in Bohemia where she was married to John Havlinek. Mr. and Mrs. Havlinek and son, John, came to the United States in 1870. Mr. Havlinek passed away in 1872. Mrs. Havlinek and Vaclav Fendrick were married in Omaha, Feb. 24, 1873. After residing in Omaha and Butler county 21 years, Mrs. Fendrich lived in Dawes county 11 years. The family came to Colfax county in a covered wagon in 1902. They retired from their farm in Colfax county in 1912 and moved to Schuyler where the remaining years of their lives were spent. Mr. Fendrich died May 7, 1914. A son, James Fendrich, of Colfax county, died in 1916, a daughter, Mrs. Frances Hespen, of California, in 1932 and a son, John Havlinek, of Schuyler in 1933. The following children survive: Mrs. Katherine Bame, Mrs. Rose Moravek, Frank Fendrich, all of Schuyler, Mrs. Emma Poulas, Joseph Fendrich, Anton Fendrich, Vincent Fendrich, all of Colfax county and Emil Fendrich of Loretto. The deceased is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Anton Spatz of Abie, Mrs. Mary Myers and Mrs. Katerina Levi, both of Omaha, one brother, Joseph Voboril of Prague, 57 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held this Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Schuyler Presbyterian church Rev. B.A. Filipi of Clarkson officiating. Interment will be made in the Schuyler cemetery.
