Mrs. Rose Moravek Died Thursday Mrs. Rose Moravek, 58, widow of Frank Moravek, died at St. Mary's hospital in Columbus Thursday afternoon at 1:15 following a prolonged illness. Mrs. Moravek entered the hospital as a medical patient in the forenoon. Rose Fendrich, daughter of Wencel and Anna Voboril Fendrich, was born in Dawes county May 1, 1889. She was eight years of age when she moved with her parents to a Colfax county farm in the Wilson community. It was here that she grew to womanhood. Mr. and Mrs. Moravek were married in Fremont Jan. 5, 1915. They established their home in Schuyler after their marriage. Mr. Moravek died March 20, 1918. Mrs. Moravek was a member of the Z.C.B.J. lodge for 27 years and was active in the work of the order. Survivors include an only daughter, Rose Ann, Mrs. George R. Cihacek of Schuyler, five brothers, Emil, Joseph, Anton and Frank Fendrich, all of Colfax county, and Vincent Fendrich of Schuyler, two sisters, Mrs. John Poulas of Colfax county and Mrs. Wencel Bame of Schuyler, and two grandchildren, Lorraine and Donald Cihacek. A brother, James Fendrich, a half-brother, John Havlinek, and a sister, Mrs. Francis McCready, preceded Mrs. Moravek in death. Rev. Victor E. Herman officiated at a service at the Bideaux chapel Saturday morning at 8:45 and at the rites at St. Mary's Catholic church at 9:15. Burial was made in the Schuyler cemetery. Pallbearers were Martin Kral, Jerry E. Severyn, I.D. Spidle, Joseph Sindelar, Anton Hovorka and Edward Spatz of Bruno. The Schuyler Sun (Schuyler, NE), Thursday, November 6, 1947; pg. 4
