Daisy Cook October 29, 1923 - November 8, 2024 Daisy Main Cook, age 101, of Palestine, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday the 8th day of November 2024 with family and friend of family, Peggy Flanagan, at her side. She was born on the 29th day of October 1923 in Anderson County, Texas to Hiram Oscar Main and Lucy Ann Congleton Main. She leaves behind her loving daughters Patricia Cook Shaver and husband Donald of Palestine, and Marilyn Cook Gosper and husband Paul of Palestine, granddaughter-in-law Ginger Hudson, grandson Sean Gosper of Austin, great grandsons Kingsley Gosper and Hendrix Gosper of Austin and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be missed each and every day but we know that she is at peace in Heaven with her Lord and Savior. We take comfort in knowing that the precious memories of her unwavering faith and abundant love for God, her family, friends, and relatives will remain in our hearts forever. Daisy was a lifetime member of Fields Chapel Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Palestine Rebekah Lodge No. 275 for many years and served as Deputy President March 1974 to 1975 and Noble Grand in 1965. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Walter Hamilton Cook, parents Hiram Oscar Main and Lucy Ann Congleton Main, step-mother Sybil Main, grandsons David and Jason Hudson, siblings Cora Mae Teel, Irene Lasiter, Oscar Herman Main, Edith Lasiter, Hiram Leonard Main, Lottie Lasiter, Olen Main, Virgie Babb, Melvin Main, Susie Langston, Vernon Main, Kenley Main, Eva Nell Funderburk, and Tommie Jean White. Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from ten thirty to eleven o'clock in the morning on Saturday, the 16th day of November, at Fields Chapel Methodist Church. A celebration of her life is to be conducted following the visitation at eleven o'clock in the morning on Saturday, the 16th day of November, at Fields Chapel Methodist Church 170 An County Road 1231, Palestine, Texas 75801, where Pastor Charles Kimble will officiate. Interment to follow at Roselawn Park. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Darrell Flanagan, Garrett Flanagan, Billy Glenn, Brad Lausier, Chase Studdard and John Studdard.
