Bio

Edith (Main) Lasiter, age 96, of Palestine, Texas died March 3, 2007 at her home. Burial in Fields Chapel Cemetery was under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home. She was born June 11, 1910 in Anderson County to the late, Hiram Oscar Main and Lucy (Congleton) Main. She was preceded in death by her husband, Seldon Lasiter; grandson, Billy Jack Studdard; and two great grandsons, Seldon and Mason Studdard. Mrs. Lasiter is survived by daughter, Billie Sadler and husband Elmer; five sisters, Irene Lasiter, Virgie Babb, Susie Langston, Daisy Cook and Eva Nell Funderburk; four grandchildren, Carol Ann Figucras, Michael Studdard, Ava Joyce Chaffin and Alesia Cooke; eight great grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren.
