Virgie (Main) Babb, 92, of Palestine, Texas died March 2, 2009, at Palestine Healthcare. Burial at Fields Chapel Cemetery was under the direction of Bailey and Foster Funeral Home. She was born Sept. 2, 1916 to the late Oscar and Lucy Congleton Main. She was employed at Industrial Garment for 15 years. Mrs. Babb was preceded in death by her husband, Andy Babb; sisters, Cora Mae Teel, Lottie Lasiter, Edith Lasiter, and Tommie Jean White; brothers, Leonard Main, Herman Main, Olen Main, Vernon Main, Kenley Main, and Melvin Main. She is survived by sisters, Irene Lasiter, Susie Langston, Daisy Cook, and Eva Nell Funderburk. (A full obituary was published in the Herald-Press 3/2/2009)
