The Hooper Sentinel January 12, 1899 The solemn tolling of the church bell this morning announced the death of Mrs. R. S. Nelson, which occurred at 6:30, last night, at the home of her daughter Mrs. Schrade. Deceased had been confined to her bed with sickness for nearly nine months. During this long and lingering affliction she was always patient and cheerful. She had been a resident of Hooper for over fourteen years, and on account of her amiable disposition had made for herself many friends, who were always dear to her and who will miss her. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Schrade and Mrs. H. Broth of Iowa and three sons, Grage, Edgar and George, to mourn her death. The funeral will take place, Saturday, at 2 o'clock p.m. from the M. E. Church.
