Bio

Roger D. Farrington Sr., 40, of 223 South C St., died Thursday at 2:10 p.m. in Community Memorial Hospital. He was born Aug. 17, 1943, the son of Ralph Farrington and Helen Tarr, and was raised and educated in Monmouth. He married Beverly A. Jones on Aug. 5, 1966, in Lancaster, Mo. He was a tote motor operator, employed by Wells Pet Food for 21 years. He was a member of Local 1218, United Food and Commercial Workers. Survivors are his wife; one son, Roger Jr.; four daughters, Annette Lynn, Rachel Ann, Robin Louise and Rochelle Lee, all at home; his father, Ralph; two brothers, Donald of Galesburg and Richard of Wisconsin; two sisters, Connie Farrington of Monmouth and Elaine Redd of Monmouth. His mother and sister, Rose Mary, died earlier. Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Turnbull Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gregory Horn officiating.
