Bio
Daughter of Frank & Angela (Goodwin) Stauss. She married Virgel Billington on Nov. 3, 1950, in Grand Island. He preceded her in death in 1995. Survivors include five sons and daughters-in-law, Virgel and Van Billington of Loveland, Colo., and Bob and Anita Billington, Gerald and Tracy Billington, Jon and Pam Billington and Frank and Jenny Billington, all of Grand Island; one daughter and son-in-law, Ginger and Steve Johnson of Grand Island; two sisters, Mary Ann Westwood and JoAnn Vodehnal of Grand Island; one brother, Wilbur Stauss of Grand Island; 19 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Carol Stauss of Grand Island, and a special friend Earl "Tiny" Barnes of Grand Island. Additional survivors numerous nieces and nephews, and her loving dog, Prince. Mrs. Billington attended school in Grand Island. Family was very important to Geraldine, and she especially enjoyed making everyone feel welcome in her home. She was a wonderful hostess. Geraldine especially enjoyed playing cards and going to garage sales. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. In addition to her husband, Geraldine was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Ann and Dorothy; two brothers, James and Duane; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
