Dorothy Woodward Woolman, 51, of Colorado Springs, Colo., formerly of Grand Island, died Sept. 22. Services and burial were in Colorado Springs. A memorial mass will be recited Oct. 5 at 10 A.M. at St. Mary's Cathedral. The Rev. Robert Foster will officiate. Memorials also are suggested to the American Cancer Society. Mrs. Woolman was born Dec. 17, 1934, at Grand Island, the daughter of Frank and Angela Goodwin Stauss. She attended Grand Island Public schools. After completing her education she was engaged in various occupations. She had worked at L&L Distributing and Plant Island. She married William J. Woodward on Sept. 24, 1951, in Grand Island. They made their home in Grand Island. In 1977 she moved to Colorado Springs. She married Clifton Woolman on March 15, 1980, at Colorado Springs. They made their home in Colorado Springs. She earned a high school diploma while there and had attended a beauty college, receiving a certificate in hair design. She was a member of the Catholic faith. While in Grand Island she had been active in the Grand Island Mother Singers and had been a Cub Scout den mother. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Mike Woodward of Grand Island and Steve Woodward of Albuquerque, N.M.; three daughters, Kim and Theresa of Grand Island and Tammy of Colorado Springs; four stepdaughters, Sandra Johnson of Tacoma, Wash., Terry St. Jacques of Huntsville, Ark., Mary Smith of Montgomery, Ala., and Barbar Woolman of Denver; two brothers, James and Wilbur Stauss, both of Grand Island; four sisters, Frances Meier, JoAnn Vodehnal, Geraldine Billington and Mary Ann Westwood all of Grand Island, and eight grand children. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
