Bio
Mrs. Stella Agnes Harmon, 71, of 602 N. Van, passed away Sunday afternoon following a long period of ill health. A native of Crawford County, Mrs. Harmon was the daughter of Joseph Shockey and Jane Grubb Shockey. She was married to Lee H. Harmon in September of 1913. She was a long time member of the Olney Church of the Nazarene. In addition to her husband, she leaves eight children: Mrs. Lena Foreman, Roy L. Harmon, Mrs. Ruth Eyer and Mrs. Loretta Schnell, all of Olney; Mrs. Edna Grimes of Flora; W. C. Harmon of Garemont; Kenneth Harmon of Washburn, Iowa and Robert Harmon of Delray Beach, Fla. There are 18 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; Mrs. Harriett Fellows of Evansville, Ind., is her sister. She was preceded in death by a brother, William, and two sisters, Mrs. Mattie Clevy and Mrs. Minnie Marshall. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Memorial Chapel of the Summers-Rainey Funeral Home with the Rev. Doyle Frazier officiating. Interment will be in the Maple Dale Cemetery. Taken from an Olney, IL area newspaper. Sept 21, 1970.
