Jane was the daughter of Jacob Grubb and Nancy Harmon Grubb. Jane married Jobe on 12 Jul 1885 in Richland Co., Illinois. Jobe and Jane Elizabeth lived in Lawrence Co., Illinois, and in Richland Co. They had five children: Minnie Ellen (Shockey) Marshall, William Albert Shockey, Mattie Alice (Shockey) Clevy, Stella Agnes (Shockey) Harmon, and Harriett Catherine (Shockey) Fellows.
