Edna J (Harmon) Grimes, 77, of Flora, died at 11;15 p.m., Saturday, Dec 18 1993 at Burgin Manor in Olney. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday at Frank & Bright Funeral Home with Kip Knavel officiating. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery in Flora. Mrs. Grimes was born June 28 1916 in Richland County, IL., the daughter of Lee and Agnes (Shockey) Harmon. She married Forest "Johnny" Grimes on Jan 6 1934 in Salem. He died Sep 29 1986. Mrs. Grimes was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Flora, and also a member of the Clay County Hospital Ladies Auxiliary and past Girl Scout Leader. Mrs. Grimes is survived by a Son and a Daughter-in-Law, Forest and Jane Grimes Jr. of Sulphur, La. a daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Gene Krutsinger of Flora: two sisters Ruth Eyer and Loretta Schnell both of Olney; six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Mrs. Grimes was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and four brothers and a sister.
