Leonard A. Gilchrest Leonard Andrew Gilchrest, 55, of 829 Canady, died at 5:15 a.m. Sunday morning in his home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Bible Baptist Church with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor, officiating. Graveside rites will be at 2 p.m. in the Fairview Cemetery in Memphis under the direction of Minton Mortuary. Mr. Gilchrest had lived here for 28 years. He was born Jan. 7, 1921 in Syder. He was an employe of Fish Construction Co., a veteran of World War II and a member of the First Baptist Church of Memphis. Survivors include his mother, Dora of Borger; three brothers, Jack, Melvon and W.C. Jr. all of Borger; and one sister, Mrs. L.L. McClanahan of Lubbock. Funeral services for Mr. Gilchrest were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Borger Bible Baptist Church with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor, officiating. Mr. Gilchrest was born in Snyder and passed away Sunday, November 14. He was a member of the First Baptist Church here and a veteran of World War II.
