Borger News Herald - May 15, 1994 Willie Gilchrest, 66, Borger, died at 5:30 p.m. Friday, May 13, 1994 in Golden Plains Community Hospital. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Bible Baptist Church in Borger with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. A native of Memphis, Texas, he had been a Borger resident for 57 years. He was a construction foreman, and member of Bible Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Bobbie of the home; three sons, Cecil Lee Gilchrest of Fort Townson, Okla.; two brothers, Jack Gilchrest , and Melvin Gilchrest , both of Borger; a sister, Faye McClanahan of Fort Townson, Okla.; 12 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
