Bio

Funeral services for Everett Lee Gilchrest, 45, of 716 O'Daniel, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Bible Baptist Church with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Mortuary. Gilchrest was dead on arrival at North Plains Hospital at 11 p.m. Saturday. He was born Jan. 7, 1930 in Memphis and has been a resident of Borger since 1947. Survivors include his wife, Winnie of the home; two daughters, Debra Gilchrest and Judy Reese, both of Borger; his mother, Mrs. Dora Gilchrest, of Borger; a sister, Mrs. L.L. McClanahan of Lubbock; four brothers, Leonard, Jack, Melvon and W.C. Jr., all of Borger; and two grandchildren. Casketbearers will be Bobby Keith, Tommy Ray and Johnny Jack Gilchrest, Kevin King, Alan Sanders and Preston McClanahan.
