Bio
Charlie E. Santos, 78, a resident of Ennis, passed away on June 19, 2006 in a local hospital. Charlie was born on November 4, 1927 in Chatfield to Antonio and Christina (Esquivel) Santos. He was a faithful and devout member of the St. John Catholic Church. Mr. Santos owned and operated Ennis Barbers in Dallas with his brother and brother-in-law for over 40 years. Charlie is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ernestine Santos of Ennis; children, Charlie Santos, Jr. and his wife Jana of Waxahachie, Jerry Santos and his wife Nancy of Ennis, David Santos and his wife Sharon of Ennis, Cynthia Brazier and her husband Gerald of Rice, Daniel Santos and his wife Brenda of Ennis; brother, Johnnie Santos; 3 sisters, Anastasia Correa, Timothea Martinez, and Christine Sanchez, all of Ennis; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John, Louis, James, Manuel and Raymond; sisters, Belen and Santos. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2006 at 9:30 AM at the St. John Catholic Church with Father Edison Vela officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Ennis.
