Timotea Santos Martinez, age 92, passed away in Ennis, Texas on Monday, May 2, 2022. She was born on August 22, 1929 in Rice, Texas to Antonio and Christina Esquivel Santos. She grew up in Chatfield and later moved to Ennis with her family. On July 2, 1955, she married the love of her life, the late Robert Martinez, Sr. Timotea was a devoted wife and mother, a wonderful cook and seamstress. She was a long time member of St. John's Catholic Church and of The Cursillistas. She was a devout Catholic and served our Lord Jesus Christ, faithfully.She enjoyed her "party time": sharing coffee and conversation with her friends and family. She will be greatly missed. Timotea is survived by her sister, Christina Santos Sanchez and her husband Al; one son, Albert Martinez and his wife Patsy; two daughters, Mary Aguirre and Julia Martinez; ex daughter-in-law, Melinda Martinez; ten grandchildren, Misti Marshall, Jude Martinez, Ashley Martinez, Zeke Martinez, Jillian Martinez, Jessie Aguirre, Angelica Aguirre, Miranda Martinez, Rebecca Aguirre, and Veronica Aguirre; several great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert of 56 years, her son Robert "Beaver" Martinez, Jr., seven brothers, three sisters, and son-in-law Jose Aguirre.
