Bio

David Santos, age 58, passed away in Ennis on February 3, 2015. He was born in Ennis on October 11, 1956 to Charlie Esquivel and Ernestine (Martinez) Santos. He married Sharon Kay Ritchey on April 18, 1980. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather (pawpaw), uncle and friend, and will be greatly missed. He always kept up with family and extended family, wanting to know how they were doing in sports and school. David enjoyed spending time with and spoiling his grandson, Desmond; sports, especially baseball and football, reading the newspaper, and doing crossword puzzles, BBQ’ing outdoors and deer season. He enjoyed deer processing with his brothers and friends. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; daughter Hollie; grandson, Desmond; brothers, Danny and wife Brenda of Waxahachie, Jerry and wife Nancy of Ennis; sister, Cynthia Brazier and husband Gerald of Rice; and numerous nieces and nephews. David is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Ernestine Santos; and nephew, Clint Santos. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. with a Rosary at 7 P.M. on Friday, February 6, 2015 at Boze-Mitchell-McKbbin Funeral Chapel in Ennis. Graveside services and interment will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Saint Joseph Cemetery in Ennis, with Father Antonio Ormaza officiating.
