Published in The News Courier, Athens, AL, Sunday, September 14, 1975. Funeral services for Mr. Arthur Edward George, 70, Athens Rt. 5, will be at 2 p.m. today at the Riddle Chapel Methodist Church. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Rev. James Wilson and Rev. Bobby Know officiating, Spry Funeral Home directing. Mr. George died at 6 a.m. Friday at his home. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Dale C. George; one daughter, Mrs. Carlos Calvert, Athens; three sons, William George, Gilbert George, and Jerry George, all of Athens; 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Floyd George and Nelson George, both of Athens; two sisters, Mrs. Horace Johnson, Athens, and Mrs. Albert Schrimsher, Huntsville.
