Published in The Huntsville Times, Huntsville, AL, Sunday, January 5, 1992. Athens, AL - Floyd Hollis George, 69, of Athens, died Friday at a Decatur hospital. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at the Christian Fellowship Baptist Church with the Rev. John Norman and Ron Byers officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery with Spry Funeral Home in charge. Mr. George was a veteran of World War II and retired from Redstone Arsenal. Survivors include his wife, Allene George; a son, Michael George of Athens; a daughter, Joan Craft of Athens; a brother, Nelson George of Athens; two sisters, Leathie Schrimsher and Elva Johnson, both of Athens; and three grandchildren.
